Pearls of Yeshua Children Ministry is a grassroots non-profit organization dedicated to investing in the futures of communities through Christ-centered care and support. Founded in 2018 by Pastor Bernard of Voice of Hope Christian Churches in Bundibugyo District, Western Uganda, the ministry is built upon the Biblical principle that true religion involves caring for orphans and widows in their distress (James 1:27). Since its inception, Pearls of Yeshua Children Ministry has remained steadfast in addressing the physical and spiritual needs of vulnerable children, offering them hope and a foundation for a better future. As a faith-driven initiative, the ministry’s mission extends beyond meeting immediate needs. It seeks to ensure the holistic growth of children by providing food, shelter, education, and spiritual nurturing. Pearls of Yeshua Children Ministry thrives on the support of compassionate partners who share the vision of transforming lives and uplifting communities. Together, we can continue to embody Christ’s love and bring lasting change to those who need it most.
Pastor Bernard Tumwesige is the founder Pearls of Yeshua children Ministry. His life is a testament to resilience and faith. Orphaned before birth and raised by an impoverished aunt, he faced immense hardship but found hope through the Child Concern Initiative Project (CCIP), which supported his education and spiritual growth. This transformative experience inspired him to serve others, leading to the founding of Voice of Hope Christian Church in 2012 and Pearls of Yeshua Children’s Ministry in 2018. Rooted in the Biblical “Parable of the Pearl,” the ministry emphasizes the priceless value of knowing Christ and provides care, education, and spiritual guidance to vulnerable children. Through his work, Pastor Bernard reflects God’s love and brings hope to those in need.

We restore hope in the lives of the orphaned and vulnerable children, so that every child will experience God’s unfailing love and know Jesus as Savior.
MISSION
The mission of Pearls of Yeshua Children Ministry is to glorify Jesus Christ by having a significant, long-term impact on orphaned and vulnerable children, equipping each child for a fulfilling, independent Christian life in their community.
STRATEGY
Pearls of Yeshua Children Ministry is a Christian Ministry that believes every orphaned and vulnerable child should receive the support they need to have a fulfilling, independent life in their community. We provide holistic care, promote family, prepare young adults for independence, and protect the rights of children.
In 2018, the solution to our heartfelt ambition took form as Pearls of Yeshua Children Ministry. By 2023, our vision had become more crystallized, and our efforts became more structured. This crucial year saw us take on more significant preparations, from raising funds and securing our location, building a provisional elementary school structures, setting up Pearls of Yeshua Elementary School and to spreading the word about our mission. Since 2018, we have been advocating for needy children from Bundibugyo district and the neighboring villages of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Pearls of Yeshua Children ministry is located in Bubukwanga village, Bubukwanga sub county within Bundibugyo District and it stands as a testament to our journey and our purpose, rooted in faith and community. As a certified nonprofit and charity organization recognized by Bundibugyo District Government, we operate within the rural areas of the Bundibugyo district. Today, we are proud to say that Pearls of Yeshua Children Ministry is home to 150 (one hundred and fifty) wonderful children, all of whom are orphans and extremely vulnerable. We also extend our reach to the wider community, uplifting spirits through our community outreach programs.
